Frank's Board

Today, made clear.

Frank's Board displayed on a tablet alongside the family management view on a phone

Frank's Board began with a very simple need: to make the day and what was happening next easier to see for someone we cared about.

It provides a continuously visible display of the day, date and time, planned events and short messages. Family members and carers can keep that information up to date from their own phone.

There is no complicated interface for the person looking at the Board. The information is simply there.

Free forever for individuals and families. No trial. No subscription. No paid extras.

Why Word Fest?

A community-benefit home for practical ideas

Frank's Board was created first. Word Fest provides the structure around it: protecting free family access, building relationships, helping remove barriers and supporting responsible learning.

What is a CIC?

A Community Interest Company, or CIC, is a company set up to operate for community benefit rather than primarily for private profit.

Starting in Lancashire

Local delivery. Wider availability.

Frank's Board is available to individuals and families wherever the service is available. Lancashire is where we're beginning our first structured, hands-on community programme.

Access

Understand the practical barriers that stop people using a simple, free service, including equipment, confidence and setup.

Relationships

Develop thoughtful referral routes with organisations already trusted by local people and families.

Learning

Build a responsible picture of what delivery involves, what people value and what should be evaluated next.

Evidence before claims

Curious, cautious and transparent

Relevant research can inform design. It does not automatically prove outcomes for Frank's Board itself.

“We do not race to prove that Frank's Board works. We create the conditions in which other people can tell us whether it works.”
